The project concerns the organization of a charity fashion show and aims to create strong connections between all the most important representatives of this industry, which will be able to help in the development of a concretely sustainable fashion in our area.
It is planned to create 15 outfits of women's collection, for a total of 31 wearable garments. The sustainability of the fashion show is based on the use of fabrics that would otherwise be thrown away or not used and the involvement of a social tailoring company for the production of the garments. The fabrics were provided by the following companies in the Como area:
Ratti SPA
Gentili Mosconi SPA
Taborelli Weaving Mill
Seterie Argenti
The garments made will be offered for sale at the end of the fashion show, and the proceeds will be donated to charity for the "Karalò" project. For the production part of the garments, those involved are:
Pietro Fadda, stylist who designed the 15 outfits.
The social tailor shop, Karalò, at the Church of Rebbio, created by Don Giusto, who will take care of the making of the outfits.
Other entities involved in the realization of the event are:
CIAS, a vocational training institute, which will take care of the models' makeup and hairstyles. Cometa, a professional school, which will offer a catering service during the event.
The following is a suggested lineup for the event:
17:45 - 18:00 | Reception of guests
18:00 - 18:45 | Presentation of the event and the realities involved
